Things you need to know
Masks are used when we are sanding, grinding or polishing to keep from breathing the dust and grit. Bring one, or we can supply it. We also have safety glasses available.
We’ll acquaint you with safety procedures while using the equipment and torches. But to be extra careful, don’t wear loose flowing clothing or long necklaces that could get caught in equipment. Wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. And you must tie back long hair.
Warning - Beautifully manicured finger nails may get messed up while filing, sanding and polishing!
Jewelry work is small and precise. If you need glasses to see close-up bring them. We do have safety glasses with magnification that will fit over your reading or prescription glasses.
Liability Waivers When you arrive you’ll be required to sign a liability waiver. Children between 15 and 18 years of age may attend classes, but a legal guardian must sign the liability waiver for them.
