January 10-11 Beginning Silversmithing
Learn about basic tools and techniques to design a pendant or earrings out of sterling silver by sawing, soldering and finishing.
Saturday and Sunday, 1 – 5pm each day, 8 hours of instruction, $295.00
No prior experience needed and sterling silver is provided for your first project.

January 24-25 Bezel Set a Stone
Make a bezel for a cabochon cut stone. Create a ring or pendant with emphasis on successful soldering and stone setting.
Saturday and Sunday, 1 – 5pm each day, 8 hours of instruction, $295.00
We recommend you have some knowledge of basic silversmithing techniques, tools and equipment.

February 21-22 Chain Making Create a Sterling Silver bracelet with round or oval links, join them together soldering each link, and finish with a handmade clasp.
Saturday and Sunday, 1 – 5pm each day, 8 hours of instruction, $295.00
We recommend you have some knowledge of basic silversmithing techniques, tools and equipment.
March 28-29 Prong Setting Some stones benefit from being prong set rather than bezel set. Learn the difference, and soldering techniques to make prongs easily. Project: ring, pendant or bracelet.

Stay tuned for classes in Spring and Summer: Overlay and Applique, Cold Connections using Found Objects, Fold Forming, Wax Carving and Lost Wax Casting.
Most two day classes are held on a Saturday and Sunday from 1-5pm, cost $295.00.
Wax Carving and Casting is a three day class.
All tools and supplies are provided for your use; sterling silver and gems available to purchase.
Our brightly lit, fully equipped studio is about 4 miles from downtown Ojai.
Our in-person workshops are designed to allow intensive class time in 4-hour blocks over a weekend.
You must sign up for both days of a 2-day workshop, or the full 3 days of the casting workshop.
With 4 students maximum in each workshop, you’ll receive personalized instruction by Hallie. Stan, my Teacher’s Assistant (and husband!) may pitch in as well!

As classes fill up, there will be a waiting list.
Location: All classes will be held in our private Red House Studio in Oak View, CA about 12 minutes from downtown Ojai. It’s in a quiet residential area with ample street parking.
Payment: Full payment is due when you sign up for the class.
We will accept credit cards over the phone, or direct you to our Pay Pal account.
To enroll in a class: Call our land line (805) 649-4744 at the studio and leave a message.
We’ll call you back ASAP.
Extra Costs: In the Beginning Silversmithing class the fee includes your materials.
In Stone Setting, Applique and Overlay, Casting, Cold Connections, or Chain making classes you’ll be charged at the end of class for the Sterling Silver you’ve used for your project, and any other materials you’ve chosen to purchase.
Cancellation Policies: You may cancel up to 21 days (3 weeks) ahead of the class and receive a full refund, or take a credit for a class at a more convenient time.
After the 21-day deadline, here are the options:
If you must cancel and we are able to find another student to fill your spot, we’ll refund your full payment, or give you a credit towards another class.
If we can’t find a student to fill your spot, you’ll receive a refund less a $50.00 cancellation fee.
If we cancel the class for any reason, you’ll get a full refund.
If you miss a class you’ve enrolled in, there are no refunds or credits given.
